The Ysleta Independent School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Gutierrez as the new principal of J.M. Hanks High School, effective Aug. 8.
Gutierrez, who returns to Ysleta ISD after having worked most recently as principal at East Montana Middle School, began his career in education in 2013 as a high school science teacher. He went on to work as a coach and AVID coordinator at Horizon High School before serving as assistant principal at Ysleta Middle School and Del Valle High School.
Gutierrez holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in educational administration, both from the University of Texas at El Paso.
